Tra-La-La

Have you ever read this guy?

He's pretty great. James likes him. I like him. Naturally, there needed to be made a decorative pillow. So that's exactly what I did. All you need to do is print off a coloring page and trace the pattern on fabric. Stitch it up and whah-lah.

Here's the front:

Here's the back:

Yes. They are. Those are real underpants on the back of the pillow.

Friday Freebie!

I'm pretty sure you've all been dying to find a good free crochet flower pattern. Be at peace. I found you two:

This first one comes from Attic 24. Visit the site HERE for an excellent tutorial and detailed photos. I'm thinkin they'd go quite nicely on a granny quilt.

This next flower pattern comes from Salihan. Visit HERE for a worthy step-by-step guide that will even satisfy a beginner.

Charles

This is such a poor quality picture, taken with my cell phone; I can't find my camera! Aaarg! Anyway, this is the progress I've made on Charles the gnome. When I'm done I'll use a real camera so you can fully enjoy his handsome composition.

Stitchin With My Gnomies

I've been wanting to stitch this (image to the left) up for quite a while now; my work is in progress and this posted image comes from the Etsy shop of Sadie and Oliver, which can be found HERE. This little guy is, in fact, an embroidery pattern and comes along with two others forming a lovely trio. Their names are Charles, Edgar, and Simon; such noble names for outstanding garden guardians. I must add that they are the finest gnome patterns I've seen available for stitchery. Las wants all three made up to hang on her bedroom wall, and all three she's gunna get.

You can view and purchase the total package (including images of the other two gnomes) HERE.

For One Smokin Dollar... Basically a Freebie!

This Where the Wild Things Are Moishe character crochet pattern is only $1! Better yet, the only crochet stitch you have to use is a single crochet, the easiest one ever! Even I can do it. Holy Smokes.

Purchase it on Etsy from GraceHKim right HERE.

Friday Freebie!

It's been a while but here it is! Friday Freebie! I'd like to say that I strongly dislike when the things I love become trendy, so it is natural that I don't like that Where the Wild Things Are has become so; however, it is definitely a classic that I love and I can't help but participate in the trendiness and post the directions on how to make your very own Max Bag! I haven't made one yet so if you feel so inclined, you can whip an extra one up and send it on over to me. Visit "Meet Me At Mikes" for the directions HERE.

Problematic Plethora of Pending Projects

Currently, I have about a bajillion projects mid-processing. They're all too entertaining and I just can't get enough. Right now I'm busy enough with school and work that I don't have much crafty free-time. To alleviate the deprivation of reveling in crafty delight, I've found that I can crochet during the 1/2 hour car ride to class (What? Crochet and drive you ask? Answer: No, the carpool driver drives while I ride and crochet). I've crocheted some cute dishrags (I made them because they are very durable. The cuteness is just a bonus.) and am now working on the afghan I started in middle school. I'll definitely post a picture of the afghan when it's finished. It's a keeper.

So here's the problem. I'd like to make this beauty here below. There's no way I can start it though until my other pending projects are finished. I guess it's not too big of a problem, as I love working on my other beauties. Hmm. One day this one too will join the ranks.

If you click on the picture, it will take you to the source from which I found it. Also, don't forget that the blog post tomorrow will feature a Friday Freebie!
