I was browsing through volume "M" of the World Books yesterday and came across a quote fitting for the end of the summer break (I'm back to school for student teaching in 2 weeks):
"In a government founded on the sovereignty of the people the education of youth is an object of the first importance."
James Monroe, Speech to the Virginia Legislature, December 7, 1801
Ain't it the truth! Em er 'mportant thins ta fink 'bout. Who'da thunk id'll make such'a differnce. Let's gets those young'uns some edjumucation four it's two let.
